Surrey residents received an early Christmas present in December when the BC government announced plans to work with Fraser Health to develop the concept plan for a new hospital.
Surrey Hospital Foundation has a proud history of raising funds for hospitals in Surrey. We look forward to working with Fraser Health and the community as soon as there are firm plans in place.
It’s important to note that although the concept plan is in progress, there is much work to be done, including the challenge of finding the right location. As it can take six to 10 years to get a new hospital up and running, it’s important that we continue to raise fund to invest in services that will have an immediate impact on health care for children and families living in Surrey and the surrounding communities.
