It was back in 1970 when Victor, his wife, and their kids first moved to Surrey. Victor worked for CN in the railyards and was transferred from Edmonton. In the years to come, his son followed Victor’s example to become an engineer, driving CN trains. Meanwhile, Victor’s daughter became a nurse at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
The family’s connection with Surrey Memorial Hospital has been a special one. Victor is grateful for the world-class care that has benefitted his entire family. All five of his grandchildren were born there; Victor’s wife spent her last days experiencing compassionate care as a patient in the ICU; Victor himself has also been a patient.
For thirty years, Victor has supported the Hospital as a monthly donor. He has also made the Foundation a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Making excellent care possible in Surrey is a cause he believes in and wants to support for the generations that will follow.
Like Victor, if you have a life insurance policy you no longer need, please consider donating it to Surrey Hospitals Foundation to help advance health care in our region.
