The iconic RCMP Musical Ride visited Surrey this past June. Proceeds from the event benefited three local charities: us here at Surrey Hospitals Foundation as well as two other amazing organizations (the Surrey Food Bank, and the Cloverdale Community Kitchen). It was a wonderful weekend. The Musical Ride troop put on some great shows. And it was nice to see the community come together for some family fun.
After all was said and done, the RCMP invited us to the local police station to celebrate the success of the event and to announce the amount raised for each charity. Needless to say, we were so humbled by the incredible generosity of the community and the RCMP, who together raised an amazing $10,150 for each of the three charities.
This donation comes at an important time for Surrey Memorial Hospital and the critical role it plays in providing healthcare for the entire Fraser Health region. A huge thank you to the RCMP and the entire Surrey community for coming out to the Musical Ride and supporting life-changing healthcare in our city!
