On July 14th the Surrey Hospital Foundation met members and supporters of BAPS Charities. This international charity selected Surrey Hospital Foundation as the donation recipient for its inaugural Unity Walk held in scenic Bear Creek Park.
Although 2019 marked BAPS Charities’ entry into the BC charitable sector it has been supporting healthcare, environmental, education and humanitarian causes for over 19 years in Canada and 50 years internationally.
BAPS Charities’ other Canadian healthcare causes include William Osler, Victoria General Hospital Foundation and Scarborough Health Network. Surrey Hospital Foundation is delighted to join this list of medical centre partnering with BAPS Charities to spread the message of wellness.
This year over 23,000 walkers in 76 cities in North America joined the walk to help local beneficiaries. This in augural walk in Bear Creek Park raised $1,000 for Surrey Hospital Foundation. Over 150 women, men and children participated in the festivities. We look forward to next year!
